  2009/10 - Eclipse Conferences, Summit Europe - Ludwisburg, Germany

IS2T and Orange Labs will present a new version of the OSGi framework specification dedicated to constrained embedded devices having very few hardware resources such as computation capabilities and memory footprint.

This new OSGi specification is ideal for new markets including home-automation, smart metering, etc.

Using Eclipse from the very beginning for its in-house developments of optimized Java Virtual Machines and associated libraries, IS2T now offers Eclipse-based tools (Simulated Embedded Platforms, mocks for HIL simulation or real testing, debug and code optimization...).

MicroEJ Eclipse Workbench and MicroEJ Java Platforms define a new design concept: the Drag Emb'Drop process . Developers design and test their applications in Eclipse on a simulated embedded target, and deploy the binary image on real targets once the application is ready.

  2009/06 - Testimony on Agility with Rational Team Concert (IBM), Paris, France

IS2T explained at the IBM Business Conference (June 25th, Paris) how Jazz from Rational improved our Agile process used for designing Java Platforms.

Our design process allows us to build any kind of Java Platform within a few weeks or months. It is based on Agility and Extreme Programming and helps us to face the common problems met in embedded system design.

Jazz allowed IS2T to use a unified tool integrated into Eclipse&trade to sustain Java Platform designs. More information is available from Rational Jazz and IBM Rational website.
