Embedded Platform Design

MicroBSP offers a bundle of development tools dedicated to native code design activities

Designers can write native code in IceTea or make wrappers to bind legacy C/ASM code to Java libraries using the Fast Native Interface. This gives designers different tools with which to write custom native routines to implement drivers, middleware or Java accelerated routines.

Simulated Platform Design

Native code can also be integrated into the S3 to extend the MicroJvm libraries executed by the S3. IceTea native designs are guaranteed to be exactly simulated as they will be executed on the target, while C native designs are not guaranteed due to uncertain portability of C implementations across different embedded and workstation platforms.
