Choose the Appropriate MicroEJ Edition

IS2T product portfolio allows several means to approach Java technologies for embedded application design.

You can choose among the following Software Kits

  • Educational and Evaluation Editions: They are perfect for an easy evaluation free of charge.

  • Standard Editions: They are ready-to-use development tools to design, debug and deploy applications. COTS version are based on commercial boards and Custom version are from your specifications.

MicroEJ® Editions


MicroEJ EDU - Educational Edition

MicroEJ-EDU targets typical embedded applications for industrial control, machine-to-machine, medical, e-metering, home automation and consumer market segments.

It features Java platforms for virtual electronic boards with typical interfaces used by embedded systems: graphic and character displays, LEDs, key-pads, analog sensors, actuators and serial communication interfaces.

MicroEJ EVAL - Evaluation Edition

MicroEJ-EVAL kits are feature-limited MicroEJ versions including the Eclipse Workbench and a COTS Java Platform Kit with a selection of Java platforms for commercial evaluation boards and OEM modules available on the market.

MicroEJ-EVAL allows to evaluate MicroEJ on both simulated and embedded platforms. Developers can buy supported hardware directly from hardware suppliers to test their application prototypes directly on hardware.

MicroEJ-STD - Standard Editions

The STD Edition allows to follow the complete process of an application design, from prototyping to production and maintenance.

COTS Java Platforms

MicroEJ-STD / COTS are full featured development tools for embedded Java and include the Eclipse Workbench and a Java Platform Kit with a selection of Java COTS platforms for commercial evaluation boards and OEM modules available on the market.

CUSTOM Java Platforms

MicroEJ-STD / CUSTOM are full featured MicroEJ versions including the Eclipse Workbench and a Java Platform Kit with a selection of Java customized platforms for specific boards and modules.
